Our dry oilskin hats have the beautiful patina of traditional oilskin without an oily finish. A wax based solution is heat processed into the cloth for a long lasting finish and high performance. This type of oilskin is water resistant, so the water doesn't completely run off it, but it won't come through to the other side either. A wind tie with cord lock and safety break away clip will keep hat secure on windy days.

Your dry oilskin rain hat can be surface washed. If you machine wash your hat you will need to retreat with a waterproofing spray such as Nikwax Cotton Proof.
